E-Data Biometric Access Control

biometrics can be summed up in a simple term: authentication. your finger (and its dna) is secure, private and authentic. it can't be lost, stolen or borrowed. and you'll always have your finger with you as you access each location. e-data biometrics combines the benefits of "perfect mobility" (nothing to carry or remember) with "perfect security" (a unique credential that let’s only authorized individuals in the door). it is the one solution that serves both requirements. another way to look at biometrics is what it doesn't require: management of cards, keys and pin codes. not only is this a time-consuming effort but it can be a costly one, involving card inventory, reissuance and retrieval; lock and key changes during high turnover; and recoding or simply remembering a host of pins.
