Effective Altruism Aachen e.V.

effective altruism aachen aims to create a supportive community of people trying to have a positive impact in their lives. to this end, we give our members the opportunity to learn more through talks, discussion rounds, reading-groups and immersive workshops. we also offer career-themed events on a regular basis where members are encouraged to think about how they can use their own careers to tackle the big problems of our time. also, we deliver public introductory talks on a regular basis and have created a semester-long university module in cooperation with rwth aachen university as part of our effort to grow our community. we are part of the broader effective altruism movement. effective altruism is a global community of people who have made helping others a core part of their lives, and who use evidence and careful reasoning to figure out how to do so as effectively as possible.
