eagle mine is a high-grade, nickel and copper deposit located in michigan’s upper peninsula. production commenced in september 2014 ahead of schedule and on budget. the underground mine is expected to produce 360 million pounds of nickel, 295 million pounds of copper and small amounts of other metals over its estimated eight year mine life (2014-2022). lundin mining is a diversified base metals mining company with operations in chile, portugal, sweden, spain and the united states producing copper, zinc, lead and nickel. in addition, lundin mining holds a 24% equity stake in the world-class tenke fungurume copper/cobalt mine in the democratic republic of congo and in the freeport cobalt oy business, which includes a cobalt refinery located in kokkola, finland. eagle mine reserves the right to remove any posting that is inappropriate or offensive.
