Eap Working Party on Professional Competencies of a European Psychotherapist

the european association of psychotherapy (eap) is developing a project to establish the professional competencies (what a person should be able to do) for a european psychotherapist. this is a massive 5-7 year project and, besides the essential core competencies for every psychotherapist, will cover the specific competencies for all the different major types of psychotherapy, and for the different european countries, as well as main areas of specialist competencies for 'special' client groups (children, criminal(forensic), refugee, etc) and 'specialist' competencies like training, supervision, management, etc: for more details: see www.psychotherapy-competency.eu
