who we are early start development (esd) is a private, non-profit organization with a progressive track record of preparing young people and families to build and strengthen their character, leadership, life skills competence, and enhance self-esteem – while preparing them for leadership and a self-sufficient life. early start leverages the support and expertise from professionals willing to serve as volunteers in facilitating workshops, providing tutoring sessions, mentoring, leadership retreats, and other programming efforts to reach out and touch the lives of others. early start makes positive, supportive change in the lives of others through assistance in academic, career, life-skills and technological services. currently, our strongest program components are the pearls mentoring program, the entrepreneur institute and the quill and scroll program. mission early start development’s mission is to build community partnerships and collaborations to assist in connecting resources wi
