Earthing Initiative

hello! my name is donovan and i’ve been an educator and nature-phile for 30 years. originally i’m from johannesburg, south africa, where growing up my friends and i spent a lot of time playing in the velt (afrikaans for wilderness). for the past 15 years i’ve lived in scotland and wales and now i’m based in cardiff, where we’re really lucky to have access to such amazing countryside right on our doorstep. i started the earthing initiative to help you get the most out of the nature we have surrounding us and to access the amazing healing benefits it can have on our modern lives; things like earthing, rewilding and shinrin yoku (tree bathing) . i want to teach everyone that getting in touch with nature can really make a huge difference to our emotional and physical wellbeing. gps in scotland are now prescribing time spent in nature for things like stress, depression, high blood pressure and diabetes. the earthing initiative can help you to get back in touch with nature, teaching you ways
