earthshot foundation was established in 2008. we began by bringing together like and unlike minds among leaders, thinkers and doers across new and clean energy solutions and market segments - with an admitted bias for applying our labors for a better planet today and tomorrow. our dialogues spanned hundreds of years of combined, hands-on experience. purposeful ideas and goals for that elusive . . . better . . . tomorrow. we debated and defended and ideas were felled or prevailed, but without recrimination or applause. we hosted our early events at the council on foreign relations' facilities in washington, dc. with seven hd cameras, world-class moderators, very many accomplished persons within their domains, and an award winning film director, we all showed up to learn and, without presumption, teach. earthshot foundation began with a simple thesis - we already know what we need to do. but, the world did not, not the whole of it, not then. neither did we. not fully. not even now.
