East Africa Public Health Laboratory Network [Eaphln] - Uganda

the world bank-funded east africa public health laboratory network (eaphln) aims to establish a network of efficient, high quality, accessible public health laboratories for the diagnosis and surveillance of tuberculosis (tb) and other communicable diseases. eaphln is a joint effort by east african community (eac) countries to: ~enhance access to diagnostic services for vulnerable groups. ~improve capacity to provide special diagnostic services and drug resistance monitoring. ~improve capacity to disease surveillance and emergency preparedness of public health events. ~establish a platform for conducting training and research.
