who are we: we are an organization based in chennai, with deep roots that have been refurbished in the year 2019, in the name east coast oysters. currently, we produce oysters, mussels and seaweed extract. our oyster cultivation is a project under the national fisheries development program undertaken by the nfdb. we also work in close ties with the cmfri. what we do: our oysters are farmed in the backwaters on the east coast of bay of bengal. the waters possess a flavor for their own and are completely free from heavy metals. crassostrea madrasensis is the type of oyster majorly found in our oyster bed. we follow the rack and tray method for the cultivation of oysters. the oysters take 5-6 months to attain their fully grown state. they are then depurated in well-filtered, uv treated waters. then the oysters are packed and exported for consumption. vision: india hasn't showered enough love towards oysters which are considered as ecstasy around the world. we also can't deny it's healt
