the east metro steam partnership's vision is an east metro community where children, youth, and adults have equitable access to and are engaged in steam (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) learning that results in a skilled workforce and increased economic opportunity. we accomplish this collaboratively with partners in education, industry, the public sector, and the community, focusing on equity & empowerment, business engagement, communications & data, and steam education. the east metro steam partnership is one of oregon’s 13 stem hubs. together, we build connections in a geographic region so that learners can connect to stem experiences early and often, igniting students’ passions and interest in these fields. stem hubs play an important role in oregon by: - identifying needs and assets in communities - bringing together families, pk-12 educators, career technical education partners, higher education, community-based organizations and industry to promote in-school a
