Eastside Diversity Coalition

the eastside diversity coalition (edc) was formed in late 2008 to create a network of gay-straight alliance and other diversity-focused organizations on the greater eastside of seattle. to this end, the edc is committed to driving prejudice out of our communities by building supportive relationships among organizations, educational institutions and individuals. while the focus is glbtq (gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgendered and questioning), the edc supports a broad definition of diversity and tolerance in our communities. the edc was founded by brandon walter, an 18 year old college freshmen. through brandon's network of individuals and organizations the edc has grown to an inter-connected web of commitment. such organizations as (yes) youth eastside services, b-glad (bi-sexual, gay, lesbian and adolescent drop-in),p-flag (parents and friends of lesbians and gays) and (yspp) youth suicide prevention program are a part of this web and more continue tojoin every day!
