Eat Move Meditate

for hundreds of years, people of color have faced racial exclusion from health, wellness, educational, social, and nutritional resources in the united states. sitting in the kitchen searching for a yoga studio in south los angeles, yoga instructors amir and adrienne longed for a wellness space that both represented and served communities of color. south la is a food desert, but it is a wellness desert, too. together, the plant-based duo made it their goal to influence social change in the health and wellness space, creating greater accessibility to yoga, meditation, and healthy vegan food for people of color — and in 2018, eat move meditate was born. eat move meditate inc. was birthed with the purpose to empower underserved communities with healthy food and lifestyle practices that promote optimal wellness. eat move meditate started as a yoga event, right in the heart of south central los angeles, and grew into a movement. our events celebrate the african diaspora and inspire soci
