the eating disorders institute of new mexico is small clinic comprised of health professionals who understand the pain of body image distress, disordered eating and obesity, and are committed to providing patients with the most compassionate and effective treatment available. we help adolescents and adults from every walk of life, providing individual, group, and family therapy. we also offer afternoon and evening intensive outpatient programs for eating disorders. obesity obesity is a medical condition. it is not a psychological disorder. however, if you have struggled with chronic obesity that has not responded well to self-help and community-based programs, you may also have an eating disorder. the addition of psychological strategies to the skills you learn in behavioral weight-loss programs can help you successfully manage your weight. other problems with which we can help known throughout the state for our work with obesity & eating disorders, our clinicians are also trained and
