the european biostimulant industry council (ebic), founded in 2011, promotes the contribution of plant biostimulants to make agriculture more sustainable and resilient and in doing so promotes the growth and development of the european biostimulant industry. biostimulant n: “plant biostimulants means a material which contains substance(s) and/or micro-organisms whose function when applied to plants or the rhizosphere is to stimulate natural processes to enhance/benefit nutrient uptake, nutrient efficiency, tolerance to abiotic stress, and crop quality, independent of its nutrient content.” what is our mission? we are seeking an operating environment that creates a truly european market for biostimulants and recognises their contribution to sustainable agriculture, green innovation, economic growth, the circular economy, bioeconomy, and other eu policy objectives. to help achieve these goals, ebic’s activities revolve around the following priority areas: 1) securing an eu single market
