eco community organization (eco) mandate is to encourage community members to be self empowered and proud to have a sustainable healthy environment where canadian’s and new immigrants come together as a community and take ownership and create awareness for an eco-friendly community. eco is not about giving empty recycling ideas but implementing effective ways that will enhance community participation in understanding environmental issues and the positive effects on the environment for attaining a better sustainable future. while undertaking that, eco also believes in the empowerment of community members to be confident, self contained and encouraged by providing them with, job skills, entrepreneurial skills, financial independence and encouraging healthy community lifestyle.
