we are the stewards of 7,500 acres of rainforest in one of the most biodiverse regions of costa rica. our mission is to protect the rainforest's ecosystems by preventing poaching and deforestation and re-connecting people to nature. eco era wildlife refuge was founded in 1991 as a us based non-profit environmental and educational organization. this rainforest wildlife refuge is located in the cerro nara watershed of costa rica’s central pacific coast. ​ our lands have been studied extensively by international biologist because of our regions biodiversity, critical habitats, pure waters and endemic species. our current global environmental crisis demands that our rainforests be protected to ensue a future for life on earth. eco era was created to protect biodiversity and endangered species by ensuring that critical habitat is preserved in a pristine state and to educate people about the importance of protecting the earth to ensure a sustainable future for all. ​ we partner with org
