through our nature based solutions eco island represent a new approach and a holistic thinking on how to integrate water purification with ecosystem restoration and improvement of local biodiversity. our aim is to develop and implement sustainable solutions to combat challenges such as extreme weather events, climate change, drought, water contamination, loss of biodiversity and destruction of ecosystems. in long term pespective we aim to establish regenerative food production on floating farms to secure a healthy and local food production in regions suffering from water scarcity and loss of land caused by climate change. eco island offer a systemic solution inspired by the function of natural wetlands and have made it more efficient combining with principles from hydroponics and aquaponics. hereby we offer a solution, which also has a positive impact on the water based ecosystems purifying water, while increasing liveability and health for the citizens leaving the natural ecosystem
