economic awareness rose from the ashes of the recent financial meltdown. the impact of this crisis has been felt globally in an unprecedented manner, and as a result, since 2007 millions of people have been affected. despite this, the majority is still unaware of the reasons behind the meltdown, leaving them vulnerable once again. the major issue is that many just don’t seem to care about what is happening out there. tomorrow’s workforce is more worried about facebook than finance, and the current workforce is motivated mainly by short-term gains benefitting the minority/themselves rather than building a longer-term and stable economy that will benefit the majority. economic awareness is here to recapture the imagination of the younger generation. it will excite and encourage individuals to become involved and active. it will prove that economics doesn’t have to be boring, and ultimately it will show why it is of fundamental importance that the general population embraces the opportuni
