established in 2001, the economic development and research center (edrc) is a yerevan based nonpartisan policy research organization — think tank — dedicated to addressing socioeconomic challenges in armenia. edrc was founded by a group of enthusiasts that believed in the role of independent research in social advancement. our mission is to contribute to armenia’s development agenda through supporting quality research and policy analysis, enhanced public awareness and policy discourse. we therefore gather and analyse data, conduct research, monitor and evaluate public policies and programs, build capacities and implement awareness raising and advocacy campaigns. we are interested in a broad spectrum of polices ranging from long term development strategies to short term sectorial programs. our thematic focus and research interests involve:  growth and economic policies,  human development and social welfare,  good governance and structural reforms,  regional cooperation and integrat
