forget esg – we need economic sustainability warriors decade after decade we have seen that neither the political leaders nor the alternative investment community can meet their implicit obligations to generate sufficient environmental impact to transition to net zero and effectively save human civilisation. esg has become a meaningless term, used more for greenwashing than actual environmental impact. impact investing too has become little more than a marketing ploy, used by venture capitalists to make numerous bets with capital committed by those who need to be associated with impact but prefer not to do it themselves. our only chance of having any real environmental impact and steering the planet away from desolation is if we activate, inspire and involve the well-educated, resourceful and not least capable younger generation. they are due to take over the mess we are in, and so it is only fair that we equip them to do so. this is why we should be creating economic sustainabil
