eco power is a privately held sri lankan company. our main line of business is to design, construct, own and operate small hydropower (shp) plants. we were incorporated early in 1997 and our first shp plant was commissioned in april 1999. at present we own and operate ten shp plants in sri lanka with a combined installed capacity of 36 mw and one in uganda with an installed capacity of 6.6 mw. all energy generated by these power plants is supplied to the national utility grid in sri lanka and uganda. besides designing, building and operating shp plants we also provide a comprehensive package of services to other parties in all areas connected with shp plants including design, construction supervision and operation. all of our power plants are environmentally friendly and produce “green power.” they are all “run of the river” or a very small storage component sufficient for a few hours generation in the plant in uganda which means that they do not store water and inundate large ar
