ecōspure is developing low cost irrigation water conservation and treatment products using proprietary materials that maximize irrigation water efficiency reducing water use by 50% and scavenge targeted nutrient molecules from water. the nutrient pollutants are attracted to the ecōspure materials and kept in the plant root zone for the plant to use. this reduces the leaching of pollutants into groundwater and the amount of pollutants in runoff water. the ecōspure technology achieves several benefits for plants, crops and water resources by; a) reducing the evaporation rate of water from around the plant, this effectively extends the time between irrigation cycles by as much as 7 days. b) cooling the soil around the plant by 30%, the high surface area material creates a subsoil micro climate that re-condensates water vapor and keeps the moisture available for the plant longer. c) attracting the plant nutrients and keeping them in the root zone effectively reducing fertilizer application
