eco supply distributes green materials for commercial and residential projects. the company's east coast reach is the result of a merger between richmond, va.-based eco supply center and brooklyn-based bettencourt green building supplies. our business grew out of a fabrication and custom furniture shop. frustrated with the lack of green materials on the east coast, we decided to start selling and distributing panels, counters and decorative products, seeing a real void in the market years ago when insulation and paint seem to be the only "green" offerings. our goals remain the same today as they were ten years ago. we look for a number of things we think are important: interesting alternatives that provide a look and texture to distract people from using tropical forest products; companies that divert materials from the waste steam and use less energy intensive technologies; companies that have better solutions and lack the scale to compete with large traditional players who often bloc
