ecr minerals plc (aim: ecr) is a mineral exploration and development company, with a strategic objective to deliver the next multi-million ounce gold resource in australia. under ceo andrew haythorpe, the group are currently developing mining assets in victoria and queensland. the state of victoria has a longstanding history of gold exploration and production, and here ecr owns a number of key assets including exploration licenses and land in creswick, north of ballarat and its famous narrow vein gold mine. ecr also owns the bailieston asset, which includes the blue moon prospect. in queensland ecr owns exploration licenses in lolworth range, a region full of famous mines, including charters towers and pajingo. most recently the company has acquired an option to buy the hurricane project in n queensland, an advanced gold project moving toward a maiden jorc resource.
