monroe county pa for many decades, and continuing to the present day, the monroe county coroner's office has undergone very little change. most things are still done the way they have been done for generations... one funeral home director runs in an election against another funeral home director, and hardly anyone even notices. now, there's nothing wrong with being a funeral home director, but is it enough anymore? no. times have changed, and the coroner's office must change to meet today's challenges. the coroner's office can and should do so much more. "because we've always done it this way" is not a strategic plan. we need someone who is not a part of the funeral industry, someone who has no possible conflict of interest. someone who thinks in a new way. imagine if the coroner's office could help save lives. yes. save lives. ed believes the coroner's office should proactively serve the entire community, and in fact is uniquely positioned to help make monroe county a better pla
