the economic development council of seattle and king county (edc) is a 45-year-old public-private economic development partnership that provides one-on-one, confidential consulting services, free-of-charge, to businesses seeking to establish, expand or relocate to king county and its 39 cities. our mission is to expand and diversity the economic throughout king county by retaining and recruiting jobs, promoting global competitiveness, and growing strong and sustainable industry sectors. we'll accomplish this mission through our customized sector-based client services program focused on business retention, expansion, and recruitment. our objective is to become the premier economic development organization in the us.
