what we are doing: to address the fundamental problem of homelessness in springfield, missouri, eden village is building tiny homes in a gated community that will provide residences with all services needed. the village will include: 30 homes, a community center that provides all social services, vegetable gardens, craft and building center, and a memorial garden. once this property is fully funded, it is our intent to continue developing more property and eradicating homelessness in springfield, mo. how we got started: the eden village project was started by the gathering tree (missouri 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation). the gathering tree has served the homeless population for 8 years by providing a coffee shop-like environment for the homeless population in downtown springfield, mo. through the community at gathering tree, we have engaged, befriended, and began to understand the needs of the homeless population. current solutions: the current model in cities usually provide tempo
