edge computing and security research lab, focuses on novel and innovative researches in the field of edge computing and cybersecurity. edge computing is a distributed computing paradigm and computing where computation is mostly performed on distributed nodes known as edge devices rather than taking place in a centralized cloud environment. edge computing is becoming more and more important for the industry, and identified as one of the key building blocks for the successful implementation of latency-sensitive technologies such as self-driving cars, smart grids, real-time analytics, augmented reality, and iot. our research directions are: - real-time analytics at the edge - edge-to-edge and edge-to-cloud communication - distributed computing at the edge - reliability and availability in edge computing systems security the more interconnected we are, however, the more we are vulnerable to cyber threats. digital disruption, notably caused by malicious cyber activities, not only threat
