dr alexa edgley bsc (hons), psychd, cpsychol, afbpss i am a chartered clinical psychologist and an accredited cognitive behaviour psychotherapist with extensive experience of a wide range of mental health issues, working both in the nhs and in independent practice. i offer effective and evidence-based brief and longer-term psychotherapy using a number of different psychological approaches, specialising in cognitive behaviour therapy (cbt), schema therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (act). i also use generic counselling, humanistic, systemic and psychoanalytic approaches to inform my work. i am therefore able to adapt my therapy to offer a very client-centred intervention. i have special interests in: depression; anxiety disorders; pre- and post-natal depression and anxiety; self-esteem &self-concept; and executive support. i offer psychological assessments and treatment for individuals over the age of 16. individuals can self-refer or be referred by gps, psychiatrists, other
