the number of 16-24 year olds not in work or training is increasing. there has also been a sharp rise in graduate unemployment, and more graduates are in low skilled jobs. automation is also on the horizon. the education system is failing to provide our young people with the skills that a modern, digital workforce demands, such as creative problem solving, coding, solution finding and design thinking. this is especially evident in west london boroughs (hounslow, ealing, uxbridge) where digital skills training opportunities are remarkably low. we aim to bring digital skills training to west london. young people in west london have limited opportunities to digital skills courses locally, and less access to high quality apprenticeships and internship opportunities in the tech and creative sectors. we are building a solution to this.
