edinburgh open workshop (eow) is an open access workshop offering membership based, pay-as-you-go workshop facilities with access to machinery, power tools, hand tools, workbenches, fabrication bays for hands on work, craft bays for cleaner work and longer term resident maker space, studios and office space in leith; and can accommodate projects of all sizes. eow is a multi arts hub and provides edinburgh's hobbyists, freelance makers, small creative businesses and designers with the space and tools needed to explore their craft, establish their career or grow their business. at the heart of eow are the members; eow is home to hobbyists, freelancers and creative companies at different stages in their development, across a wide range of disciplines. as a not-for-profit enterprise, eow is guided by its member body and reinvests any profit in equipment maintenance and purchase, the creation of new creative workspaces; the adaption of existing ones and the research and development of c
