Edinburgh University Law Society

we are the largest academic society at the university of edinburgh, with over 800 members. our goal is to enhance the student experience of law students in edinburgh, and our work can be divided into three main areas: social, sporting and careers. there are several law society sports teams who play in weekly intramural fixtures, and a varsity fixture against glasgow law society. our members can enjoy a varied sporting program; we currently have teams representing us in basketball, football, hockey, netball and rugby. we work alongside top uk and international law firms, running several networking events so you can meet the biggest employers in the legal sector. through the year there are workshops to tell you more about careers beyond the llb, and an opportunity to make some useful contacts. we also run a mentor scheme, where we can allocate students a mentor from an aspect of the profession they are interested in. we appreciate that a law degree can be stressful at times, so we run so
