edmond amateur radio society is a non-profit organization that provides free courses covering electronics and the science of electromagnetic wave propagation, environmental science, safety, etc as it relates to amateur radio, fcc requirements and the requirements of the national association for amateur radio, amateur radio relay league. we also provide weather spotting and emergency communications for the city of edmond. we provide thousands of free labor hours to the people of edmond and oklahoma city by volunteering at several civic events from the oklahoma city memorial marathon to the edmond libertyfest parade providing radio communications and event management for staging, operating, and safety. we also visually inspect and monitor every edmond storm siren monthly for edmond emergency management. as a fcc requirement, we are not compensated for any activity that involves our amateur radio services. we are not a governmental organization or agency, nor a educational instituti
