english debating society university of indonesia is the pioneer of english debating in indonesia. founded on the 5th of may in 1998, we aim to foster critical thinking, develop public speaking skills and provide you with the means and platform to get involved in the democratic process though debating, discuss and be critical towards ideas. as the most successful debating community in the country, our achievements span across national and international level tournaments, we host various debate and adjudication workshops, assist the ministry of national education in promoting debating activities in the provinces, and provide debate training for many high schools in jakarta. our current president, yunindita prasidya, continues in adopting our purpose as a community that try to spark changes through discussions in public policies, political and environmental issues, education, economic policies, and many more!
