in 2009, our founders spearheaded a group that persisted through a grueling application and chartering process in the state of new york and successfully opened summit academy charter school. during the process, and in the years since then, they have collaborated with school leadership and with the department of education to create governance tools, key success metrics and repeatable processes to drive continuous improvement. through all of this, the team saw a need in the market place for cost-effective tools for schools that are easy-to-use, provide unique educational and governance value and that make managing the details less time consuming. so was born edu status, founded in 2009 and incorporated in 2011 – and pleased to be offering services and software tools that are transforming k-12 education management.
