eden foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization in existence since 2019. eden aims to improve mothers and small and sick newborns' health outcomes in rural and underserved regions in sub-saharan africa by providing cost-effective and sustainable health solutions. eden is solving two key health problems preterm birth and postpartum depression. our solution, the eden preterm kit, was developed in response to the who/unicef survive and thrive report outlining evidence-based interventions that target different health system levels to ensure preterm babies not only survive but thrive. eden kit incorporates elements within the primary and secondary levels of the survive and thrive report to provide special and essential newborn care for preterm babies, including a breast pump, a blanket, and hygienic care items (e.g. antiseptic). our mental health app is currently under development and will be launched in the fourth quarter of the year. with a goal to inspire health and
