the education and employers taskforce was launched as an independent charity on the 15th october 2009 with the aim of ‘ensuring that every school and college has an effective partnership with employers to provide its young people with the inspiration, motivation, knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to help them achieve their potential and so to secure the uk’s future prosperity’. we work to achieve this by engaging with government and leading national bodies representing schools, colleges and employers. our first campaign in 2010, visit our schools and colleges, saw ceos going into state schools and colleges. later that year, we worked with robert peston to form speakers for schools and supported its transition into a new independent sister charity in 2013. in 2012 we launched inspiring the future to connect volunteers to schools using state of the art match-making technology. over 32,000 people have volunteered to talk to young people about their job, leading to over a milli
