Education and Social Research Collective

the educational and social research collective (esrc) is a global collective of researchers in social sciences, education and humanities. the overriding goal of the esrc is to promote alternative, innovative and interdisciplinary ways of thinking about the social and educational practices. esrc is motivated by a desire to contribute to the social and educational debates through rigorous social research and evaluation practices. while we are interested in the evaluation of impact of particular reforms, esrc questions the overwhelming reliance on the impact assessment methodologies based on econometric models and attempts to provide alternative methodologies to understand the effects of development practices. esrc provides research and consulting services to governments, charities, schools, and other stakeholders in education and development reforms.
