edwards hall, or 'teds' to our residents, is known for its spirited residential community committed to academic excellence. as the oldest residence at the university of newcastle, edwards hall has proud traditions and is home to 383 residents every year. 298 of these residents live in the main catered halls and 85 live in the self-catered unit style residences. residents at edwards hall have access to multiple bbq areas and three common rooms that include plasma televisions, lounges, pool tables, foosball tables and ping pong tables as well as a large outdoor swimming pool. to find out more about what facilities are available to residents, click here. with so many students living in close proximity, life at edwards hall is about building strong bonds between residents. it's more than a place to live, it's also a lively community which builds your confidence and social skills as you strive for academic success.
