efden is romania's representative in solar decathlon europe 2014's edition, the most important contest of architecture and integrated technologies worldwide, which will take place in versailles. we are a multidisciplinary team of students composed of architects, engineers, communicators and graphic designers who aim to design and build an energy efficient solar house. our prototype is an adaptable and modular housing unit, with a flexible design and compartmentalization, viable for the restrictive sites found in bucharest's inner circle. solving the well known densification and mobility issues of romania's capital, our house will also satisfy the need of nature of its user. having an integrated green space, the efden prototype will offer the future occupants the perks of having a peaceful and relaxing piece of nature in their own home, at the same time enjoying the benefits of living in the city center. we adapt an energy efficient solar house to the heart of the city, taking a sus
