gary craig in 1995 created the term "eft," and it has since become widely used around the world, referring to a simple tool that can essentially reduce stress responses. however, it must be noted that earlier therapists like wilhelm reich, joseph wolpe, george goodheart, roger callahan, john diamond and fred gallo each addressed the link between thoughts and the body's direct responses to stress and trauma. eft universe founder, dawson church, has initiated several medically and scientifically documented evidence-based research events showing the effects of eft on the body, nervous system, and stress hormones. dr. peta stapleton (clinical psychologist) and steve wells (psychologist) too have made significant scientific headway through administering ongoing research on the positive effects of eft. please see below a list of recommended readings, websites and youtube sites,if you would like to further your knowledge of this research and many highly regarded experts in this field.
