earla is a nonprofit organization whose members are egyptian-american lawyers and policy specialists experienced in legal practice, academia, government, non-profit management, grassroots leadership, consulting, and public policy our mission earla provides legal technical assistance to the legal reform community egypt. this community encompasses lawyers, judges, scholars, practitioners, civil society actors, and non-profit organizations invested in promoting the rule of law in egypt. earla works to improve government transparency and accountability, as well as protect media and citizen access to information through the reform of substantive law, legal and administrative processes, and administration of justice. earla works closely with its egyptian partners on the ground to develop structural reforms of relevant laws and procedures that are accessible, fair, and efficient. ultimately, earla strives to facilitate reform focused on the protection of fundamental freedoms and the growth of
