Egyptian Center for Women's Rights (Ecwr)

ecwr is a nongovernmental and independent organization. our work is dedicated to sustain women's fight to reach their full rights and establish gender equality. our end goal is the end of any discrimination against women and to reach the objectives related to this, we cooperate with a vast network of civil society organizations, institutional bodies and media. the work of ecwr reflects the different components of the ngo: on one hand, ecwr works within the legal field in order to address cases of vaw and to push for the righful implementation of the egyptian family law; on the other hand, our office deals with activities related to spreading awareness around some of the most pressant issues regarding women, such as climate change, economic empowerment, human rights.
