ehsal, europese hogeschool brussel was een katholieke vlaamse hogeschool. ehsal staat voor economische hogeschool sint-aloysius, genaamd naar de spaanse jezuïet en heilige aloysius gonzaga (1568-1591). in 2003 fusioneerde de instelling met de iris hogeschool brussel en katholieke hogeschool brussel. de naam ehsal werd toen behouden en stond sindsdien voor europese hogeschool brussel. de nederlandstalige hogeschool maakte deel uit van het vlaams verbond van katholieke hogescholen en de associatie k.u.leuven. sinds 1996 bezat ehsal het iso 9001-kwaliteitslabel. in het academiejaar 2007-2008 is ehsal opgegaan samen met de brusselse partners vlekho, k.u.brussel en honim in de nieuwe brusselse instelling h.u.brussel, hogeschool-universiteit brussel (hub). vanaf 1 september 2009 wijzigt de naam europese hogeschool brussel (ehsal) in hub-ehsal.
