Edinburgh University Fencing Club

founded in 1930, edinburgh university fencing club is one of the university’s most successful sports clubs and one of the strongest university fencing clubs in britain. we offer professional coaching in all three weapons (foil, epée and sabre) to edinburgh university students of all abilities, from complete beginners to seasoned competitors. the club, like most university clubs in the uk, is entirely run by students through the committee according to its constitution. we have highly successful teams for both men and women. both our a teams are in the premier league and have won it on several occasions. second teams also exist for men and women, and are designed to give a chance to less experienced fencers to compete. starting this year, a third men’s team will also begin its activities.
