we are a not-for-profit initiative inspiring a generation in kenya to follow their dreams, explore the outdoors, and protect the local environment. our plan is to partner with local schools, ngos and communities to: - plant 10.000 indigenous trees in schools - deliver an outdoor mentorship programme in schools - build a young hikers community we will raise the profile of the project and its aims through founder gitonga wandai's net-zero carbon everest climb, the first ever to be achieved by a kenyan. why is our mission important? 1. climate change & deforestation are badly damaging kenya's ecosystem. immediate grassroots action is needed to reverse this trend. planting trees is one of the best ways of doing this: they reduce c02, increase oxygen, and prevent flooding and drought. planting trees with children and communities now will create long-lasting bonds that will benefit us now and in the future. 2. engagement of young people in nature is key to inspiring them to love and pro
