Educate!

educate! prepares youth in africa with the skills to succeed in today’s economy. we tackle youth unemployment by reforming what schools teach and how they teach it, so that students in africa have the skills to start businesses, get jobs and drive development in their communities. educate! provides youth with skills training in leadership, entrepreneurship, and workforce readiness along with mentorship to start real businesses at school. long term, we aim to fully incorporate our skills-based education model into national education systems across africa. in 2018, we’re working in 175 secondary schools in rwanda and over 700 schools in uganda (25% of the country) reaching over 42,000 students intensively and 530,000 more broadly. our model was proven to have massive impact. two rigorous external evaluations, including a randomized controlled trial, found that graduates of our program earn double the income of their peers and are 44% more likely to launch a business. girls achieve even g
