oklahoma city native joshua gateley started out as an athlete. when his playing days were over, he wanted a way to stay involved with the action. his passion quickly turned to capturing athletes from the sidelines and in the studio. born and raised a sooner, joshua earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the university of oklahoma, and followed that up with a portfolio degree in art direction from miami ad school – minneapolis. his education has been instrumental in communicating successfully with creative directors and art directors. shooting in the studio is where his photography began, but joshua’s work has expanded to shooting on location –from portraits to game action and everything in between. when he’s not chasing down an athlete or shooting from the sidelines, joshua still enjoys playing sports recreationally, attempting to run with his wife, and teaching his two little boys how to swing a bat or throw a ball
