ihelpbelarus financial team formed by volunteers of the international belarusian diaspora. our goal is to coordinate the relationship between belarusians living abroad and various charitable initiatives that help the victims of violence and repressions and promote freedom and democracy in belarus. in addition to supporting such initiatives and foundations, we engage in advisory projects to promote the highest standards of transparency and accountability in the area of charitable giving. ihelpbelarus.org is the “diaspora’s wallet”: as diaspora’s trustees we collect donations, and distribute towards projects and initiatives by our “whitelisted” partners. we have developed a screening process and a set of standards that all initiatives asking for diaspora’s support have to meet. we verify all organizations (specifically their public accountability) and list the initiatives, non-profits, and foundations that achieve our “partner” status through passing our screening process. we then fund
