انجمن صنفی طراحان گرافیک متحرک شهر تهران آبان ماه سال ١٣٩٠ جمعی از فعالان رشتهی موشن گرافیکس توسط سعید زارع گرد هم آمدند تا ضمن آشنایی بیشتر با یکدیگر تجربیات و نظراتشان را در این حوزه با هم به اشتراک بگذارند. این گردهمایی به مرور زمان تبدیل به جلسات مکرر فعالان و علاقمندان رشتهی گرافیک متحرک شد، طی تبادل نظر در مورد اهداف مشترک همکاران در این رشته، پیشنهاد تشکیل انجمن صنفی مطرح و مورد استقبال واقع شد. از آن پس جلسات منظمتر و هدفمندتر برگزار شد و تحقیق و بررسی در خصوص چگونگی ایجاد و چرایی تشکیل چنین انجمنی آغاز گردید و پیش نویس اساسنامه و اهداف عمومی و اختصاصی صنف تهیه شد. همچنین این همکاری در چند مقطع موجب برگزاری همایشها، گردهماییها و ورکشاپهایی با رویکرد موشن گرافیکس گردید و نظرات و بازخوردهای فعالین این حوزه در سراسر کشور برای پیشبردهرچه بهتر روند تشکیل صنف دریافت شد. پس از گذشت چند سال و پشت سر گذاشتن فراز و نشیبهای فراوان، سرانجام در تاریخ ۱۳۹۵/۶/۱۸ نخستین مجمع عمومی رسمی این صنف توسط هیات موسس (آقایان: عمار عیسیپور، مجید کاشانی و مجتبی داننده) با حضور و نظارت نمایندهی وزارت کا
